Summary
This study tested whether an experimental drug called MT-8554 could safely reduce pain in people with diabetic nerve damage. 61 adults with long-term nerve pain from diabetes received either the drug or a placebo pill to compare effects. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, monitored side effects, and checked how much drug appeared in participants' blood.
