MS patients successfully switch from hospital IV treatments to home injections

NCT ID NCT04486716

Summary

This study tested whether people with relapsing multiple sclerosis could safely switch from receiving intravenous (IV) antibody treatments every 6 months to monthly self-injections of ofatumumab. The research followed 111 participants for 12 months to see if the new treatment maintained control of their MS without causing new brain lesions. Participants switched for practical reasons like insurance coverage or travel difficulties, not because their previous treatment wasn't working.
