Study tests simpler antibiotic dosing for dangerous staph infections
NCT ID NCT04793152
Summary
This study aims to find out if a simpler, more practical method for dosing the antibiotic vancomycin works as well as a more complex method for treating serious MRSA infections. It will involve about 700 adult patients with infections like pneumonia or bloodstream infections. The main goal is to see if the simpler dosing leads to similar rates of treatment failure and kidney problems.
