Dental dilemma: save the implant or pull it out?
NCT ID NCT07435259
Summary
This study aims to help dentists decide whether to keep or remove dental implants in patients who develop jaw bone death (MRONJ) from certain osteoporosis or cancer medications. Researchers will follow 50 patients for one year to see if keeping the implant leads to better healing than removing it. The decision will be based on how much bone loss is seen around the implant on special 3D X-rays.
