First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study explores whether a special MRI technique can detect changes in muscle and connective tissue after hands-on therapy (Tuina) for myofascial pain. About 78 adults with chronic low back pain will be randomly assigned to receive Tuina therapy or standard home care. Researchers aim to see if MRI scans can track tissue changes and predict who benefits most from manual therapy.
