First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a special type of MRI scan can measure and predict damage to the jaw and mouth bones caused by radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. Researchers will follow 300 adults receiving radiation to track how this damage develops over time. The goal is to find a better way to detect and monitor this serious side effect, which could lead to improved treatments and quality of life for patients.
