New scan study aims to protect Girls' fertility from unnecessary surgery
NCT ID NCT07313514
Summary
This study is testing how accurately a specific MRI scan classification system can tell if an ovarian mass in a girl is cancerous before surgery. Researchers will look at scans and surgical results from 100 girls under 16 years old. The goal is to help doctors better decide when to remove just the mass to preserve fertility versus when more extensive surgery is needed for cancer.
