Knee MRI scans may predict who heals best after meniscus surgery
NCT ID NCT07089316
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study reviews past medical records of 128 people who had surgery for a specific type of knee meniscus tear (medial meniscus posterior root tear). Researchers want to see if measurements from MRI and X-rays taken before surgery can predict how well the knee heals and functions two years later. The goal is to help doctors identify which patients are most likely to benefit from surgery and improve treatment planning.
