MRI scans could help doctors decide when to deliver babies at risk

Summary
This study aims to improve how doctors decide when to deliver babies with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), a condition where the baby is smaller than expected and at higher risk of stillbirth. Researchers will use MRI scans to measure blood flow and oxygen levels in the placenta, comparing these images with the placenta's health after birth. The goal is to develop a non-invasive tool to better identify which pregnancies need early delivery. About 80 pregnant women with IUGR will participate.
