Summary

This study tested a special type of MRI scan that uses inhaled xenon gas to take detailed pictures of how the lungs are working. It aimed to see if this scan could spot early signs of rejection or failure in people who have received a lung transplant, potentially allowing for earlier treatment. The study involved 45 people, including lung transplant patients, some with COPD, and healthy volunteers for comparison.
