Sharper aim for liver cancer: MRI guides radiation to spare healthy tissue

NCT ID NCT05027711

Summary

This study is testing if a new, more precise type of radiation therapy can better control cancer that has spread to the liver while causing fewer side effects. It will compare MRI-guided radiation, which uses real-time imaging to target tumors more accurately, against the current standard radiation method. The trial will enroll about 90 adults with 1-3 small liver tumors from other cancers to see which approach is safer and more effective.
