MRI scans aim to predict risk and guide timing for At-Risk pregnancies
NCT ID NCT02297724
Summary
This study aims to develop better MRI methods to assess the health of the placenta in pregnancies where the baby is not growing properly (Intrauterine Growth Restriction or IUGR). Researchers will scan 80 pregnant women to see if MRI measurements of blood flow and oxygen in the placenta can help doctors decide the safest time for delivery. The goal is to reduce the risk of stillbirth by improving how we monitor these high-risk pregnancies.
