Brain scan breakthrough could spot autism earlier

NCT ID NCT02165410

Summary

This study tested if a special type of MRI scan could help doctors diagnose autism in children. Researchers scanned the brains of 115 children, including those with autism, to see if they could find a reliable pattern of blood flow linked to the condition. The goal was to find a less invasive way to help with diagnosis compared to other methods.
