New drug aims to make surgical scars stronger and less visible

NCT ID NCT05844527

Summary

This study tested a new drug called MRG-001 to see if it helps surgical wounds heal better. Ten people scheduled for a tummy tuck had small test cuts treated with either the drug or a placebo for three weeks. Researchers then checked how strong the resulting scars were and how they looked, aiming to see if the drug improved healing.
