First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested a new drug called MP-424 combined with two standard hepatitis C medications (peginterferon alfa-2b and ribavirin) in 20 people with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1b. The main goal was to check the safety of the drug combination and measure how the drug moves through the body. Researchers also tracked how well the treatment lowered hepatitis C virus levels. This was a small, early study to gather basic information before larger trials.
