Mass drug trial aims to eliminate river blindness in angola

Summary
This study compares two FDA-approved drugs, moxidectin and ivermectin, to see which is better at reducing river blindness and other infections like intestinal worms and scabies in Angola. About 52,000 people in 20 villages will receive one of the drugs once a year for four years. The goal is to find the best treatment to help eliminate these diseases from the community.
