New mouthwash trial aims to soothe painful mouth condition
NCT ID NCT07280442
Summary
This study is testing whether a new mouthwash can reduce pain and heal sores caused by oral lichen planus, a chronic inflammatory mouth condition. It will compare the new rinse, which contains sodium hyaluronate and a peptide, against a standard steroid mouthwash. About 40 adult participants with symptomatic oral lichen planus will use one of the assigned mouthwashes for four weeks while researchers track their pain levels and lesion size.
