First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if a store-bought mouthwash can reduce a parasite called Entamoeba gingivalis in the mouth. This parasite can damage gums and cause inflammation. Forty healthy adults with the parasite will use the mouthwash twice daily for a week, and researchers will measure changes in parasite levels. The goal is to find a simple way to improve gum disease treatment.
