Can a Child's movement predict their daily needs? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07358143

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a child's basic motor skills, like running and throwing, are linked to their everyday abilities in children with severe intellectual disability. Researchers observed 227 children living in orphanages in China to see if motor skill tests could help identify which children might need more support with daily tasks. The goal is to provide information that could help caregivers and institutions better prioritize support services for these children.
