NCT ID NCT05351255

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at how people with cerebellar ataxia (a condition that affects coordination) learn new movements. Researchers will test if brain activity in the motor cortex can predict learning ability, and if gentle brain stimulation can improve it. The study involves 17 adults and uses non-invasive techniques like transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to measure and temporarily tweak brain activity.
