Mind over pain: can imagining movement ease the strain on caregiving mothers?
NCT ID NCT06981884
Summary
This study tested whether a mental training technique called 'motor imagery' could help mothers of children with physical disabilities who experience chronic low back pain. Forty mothers performed core stabilization exercises, with some also using mental imagery techniques. Researchers measured changes in pain, physical function, balance, body awareness, anxiety, and quality of life to see if the mental training provided extra benefits.
