First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether motivational interviews—supportive conversations that encourage positive behavior—can improve breastfeeding in first-time mothers. 90 pregnant women (34+ weeks) were split into two groups: one received breastfeeding training with motivational interviews, the other got standard care. The goal was to see if the interviews increased mothers' confidence and motivation to breastfeed.
