First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether motivational interviews (supportive conversations) based on the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills model could help first-time mothers breastfeed more confidently. 90 pregnant women in Turkey were split into two groups: one received the motivational interview training, the other got standard care. The goal was to see if the interviews improved breastfeeding self-efficacy and motivation.
