First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested a treatment called oral immunotherapy (OIT) for people with shrimp or cashew allergies. Participants, aged 7 to 55, were given small, increasing amounts of the allergen to help their immune system become less reactive. The main goal was to measure changes in specific immune cells over a year. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
