First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving mothers a short training course about newborn jaundice would increase their knowledge and lower how often jaundice occurs in their babies. 78 mothers who had a planned C-section took part. Half received the training; the other half did not. Researchers measured the mothers' knowledge before and after training and tracked jaundice symptoms in the babies for one month.
