First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether hospitals that follow 'mother-friendly' practices—like avoiding unnecessary medical interventions and supporting natural birth—can improve the experience for mothers and their babies. 281 healthy pregnant women took part. The results showed that mother-friendly care reduced labor pain and increased how satisfied mothers felt with their care, without harming the baby.
