Spinal shot aims to ease agony after colon cancer surgery

Summary

This study is testing if a small dose of morphine injected into the spine before surgery can better control pain and improve recovery for patients having laparoscopic colon cancer surgery. It will compare this method against standard pain management in 252 patients. The main goal is to see if patients report a better quality of recovery in the first day after their operation.
