NCT ID NCT05551260

First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at how adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) judge moral situations compared to people without autism. Researchers showed participants stories where someone was harmed on purpose or by accident, then asked them to match facial expressions to the scenarios. The goal was to understand if people with ASD process moral emotions differently, both automatically and when they have time to think. The study included 60 adults aged 18-40 and did not involve any treatment or medication.
