Blood test ratio may spot dangerous lung clots
NCT ID NCT07023705
First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a ratio of two blood cell types (monocytes and large platelets) can help diagnose pulmonary embolism, a serious blood clot in the lungs. Researchers reviewed records from 53 patients who had a CT scan to confirm or rule out the clot. The goal was to see if this simple blood test could be a faster, cheaper way to spot the condition.
