Blood test strategy aims to keep tough TB patients on Life-Saving drug
NCT ID NCT06590428
Summary
This study is testing if a personalized monitoring strategy can help people with drug-resistant tuberculosis stay on a key medication. Researchers will check drug levels in the blood of some participants and adjust their dose if it's too high, hoping this prevents severe side effects that often force people to stop treatment. The goal is to help more people complete their full course of therapy successfully and prevent the TB from becoming even harder to treat.
