Could a common diabetes drug ease stomach troubles in rare genetic diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07029009

Summary

This study aims to see if liraglutide, a medication for common Type 2 diabetes, can help people with a rare genetic form called MODY. Researchers will check if the drug improves blood sugar control, body weight, and common stomach problems in about 50 participants. They will also use participants' cells to try to understand why the drug might work on gut symptoms.
