Virtual jaw simulator aims to catch painful joint disorders early
NCT ID NCT07499869
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 4D virtual simulator called Modjaw® can help doctors better diagnose temporomandibular disorders (TMD), which cause jaw pain and affect nearly 1 in 3 adults. Researchers will compare the simulator's readings with MRI scans in 20 adults who have signs of disc displacement. The goal is to see if the device can make diagnosis easier and faster, potentially preventing the condition from worsening.
