New stent design aims to ease pain after kidney stone removal
NCT ID NCT07535580
First seen May 02, 2026 ยท Last updated May 02, 2026
Summary
This study tested a modified ureteric stent designed to cause less discomfort after kidney stone surgery. 28 adults who already had a standard stent replaced it with the modified version during surgery. They filled out a symptom questionnaire before and after to compare how they felt, and doctors checked if the stent moved out of place. The goal was to see if the new stent is safer and more comfortable than the standard one.
