New chemo schedule aims to ease harsh side effects for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06648785

Summary

This study is testing if changing the timing of two common chemotherapy drugs (capecitabine and oxaliplatin) causes fewer and less severe side effects for people with gastrointestinal cancers. The goal is to see if this modified schedule is easier for patients to tolerate than the standard treatment plans. Researchers will measure side effects like nerve pain, blood cell counts, and treatment delays in about 20 participants.
