New drug trial aims to slow knee arthritis damage

NCT ID NCT07323745

Summary

This early-stage study will test whether taking the drug Mobithron Advance daily for one year can slow the progression of knee osteoarthritis and help preserve cartilage. Researchers will follow 84 adults over 50 with mild to moderate knee arthritis, using MRI scans to measure cartilage thickness and questionnaires to track pain and function. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe for long-term use and if it can modify the disease course compared to a placebo.
