Phone pings to save sight: glaucoma study tests text reminders for eye drops
NCT ID NCT07480577
First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether daily text or WhatsApp reminders help people with glaucoma take their eye drops more regularly. Poor adherence is common and can lead to vision loss. 84 adults will be split into two groups: one gets reminders and educational messages for 3 months, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach improves medication use and eye pressure control.
