NCT ID NCT07209254
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two mobile health strategies for managing high blood pressure after pregnancy. 770 new mothers with pregnancy-induced hypertension will use either a 12-week or 10-day text-based blood pressure monitoring program. The goal is to see which approach better lowers blood pressure and improves heart function and patient engagement.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
mobile health strategies (text-based blood pressure monitoring and management)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide an effective, scalable way to manage postpartum hypertension, reducing long-term heart risks for new mothers.
What could go wrong
This is a behavioral intervention trial, not a drug study, so benefits may be modest. Results depend on patient adherence and may not apply to all populations.
