First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested whether a mobile app designed for sick newborn care helps nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) better identify nursing diagnoses and reduce missed care. Sixty-four nurses used the app for three months, while a control group continued usual care. Researchers measured changes in how nurses perceive nursing diagnoses and how much care was missed.
