New autism drug trial aims to ease social struggles
NCT ID NCT05081245
Summary
This study is testing an investigational medicine called ML-004 to see if it can help improve social communication and other core challenges in teens and adults with autism. About 150 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real medicine or a placebo (a look-alike with no active drug) for several weeks. The main goal is to measure changes in social skills, repetitive behaviors, mood, and overall functioning as reported by caregivers and clinicians.
