New device aims to fix leaky heart valves without major surgery

NCT ID NCT07188233

Summary

This study is testing a new catheter-based device called CathHELIX that aims to repair leaky mitral valves in patients with heart failure symptoms. The procedure is done through a small tube inserted into a blood vessel, avoiding open-heart surgery. Researchers will check if the device can be safely placed and works properly in 5 participants with moderate to severe valve leakage.
