Scientists seek clues in blood and skin to unlock mysteries of mitochondrial diseases

NCT ID NCT06474104

Summary

This study aims to collect blood and skin samples from people with primary mitochondrial diseases and healthy volunteers. Researchers want to identify biological markers that could help diagnose these diseases and understand how different genetic mutations affect cell function. The samples will be used for research to potentially develop future treatments, but this study itself does not provide any treatment.
