Summary

This study looks at how the drug mitapivat changes red blood cells in people with sickle cell disease. Researchers will measure oxygen levels and cell health using blood tests and a skin sensor. The goal is to understand how the drug works, not to test if it cures the disease. About 6 people already in a larger study will take part.
