Mirror trick fights phantom pain: new hope for CRPS sufferers?
NCT ID NCT07332884
Summary
This study tested whether adding mirror therapy to standard physical therapy helps people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) more than physical therapy alone. CRPS is a severe, chronic pain condition that often follows an injury. Researchers compared two groups of 52 patients who had CRPS in their hand after a stroke to see which treatment better reduced pain and improved strength and movement.
