First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving women a mirror to watch their baby's birth during the pushing stage would shorten labor or improve their experience. 122 healthy women with full-term pregnancies took part. One group used a mirror while pushing, and the other received standard care. The researchers measured how long the pushing stage lasted and asked mothers to rate their birth experience afterward.
