New exercise approach may better soothe sciatica nerve pain
NCT ID NCT07558993
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special set of posture-correcting exercises can improve nerve health and reduce pain better than standard physical therapy for people with sciatica (nerve pain in the leg from a pinched nerve in the lower back). About 64 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two exercise programs for 12 weeks. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans to measure changes in the nerve and track pain levels and daily function.
