Pig-Liver scaffold tested to mend stubborn wounds

NCT ID NCT06939673

Summary

This study is testing a special wound dressing called Miro3D to see how well it helps heal difficult, long-lasting wounds like diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores. The dressing is made from processed pig liver and acts as a supportive scaffold for the body's own healing process. Up to 20 adult participants will receive the dressing along with their standard wound care for up to 12 weeks. Researchers will measure how much the wounds shrink and check if patients' pain and quality of life improve.
