Blood biomarker may spot early IPF

NCT ID NCT03457935

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a molecule called miR200 in the blood can help identify early signs of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a lung-scarring disease. Researchers will compare miR200 levels in 450 people: those with IPF, those with other lung diseases, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find a simple blood test to catch IPF earlier.
