First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle, minimally invasive surgery done within hours of a brain bleed can improve recovery compared to standard medical care alone. About 300 adults with a specific type of brain hemorrhage will be randomly assigned to either get the surgery plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if removing the blood clot early leads to better long-term function and quality of life.
