First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a new, less invasive cleaning method (MINST) against the standard non-surgical treatment for peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. About 106 adults with infected implants will receive one of the two treatments and be followed for 12 months. The goal is to see which approach better reduces deep gum pockets and bleeding without needing surgery.
