New device offers hope to prevent amputation in patients with no other options

NCT ID NCT03807661

Summary

This study tested a device called the LimFlow System in patients with severe leg circulation problems who were facing amputation and had no other surgical options. The device uses a small incision to reroute blood from an artery into a vein to restore blood flow to the foot. The main goal was to see if this procedure could help patients avoid amputation and survive longer.
